acceptable use

effective 2026-10-16 · part of the terms. plain words, and the plain words are the policy.

the short version: don't abuse the platform, don't touch other people's accounts, and keep only media you have the right to hold.

1 · the platform

Using the platform (accounts, pairing, the hosted interface, the waitlist), you agree not to:

  • use it in violation of any law, or to infringe anyone's rights
  • attack, probe, scrape, or deliberately overload the service
  • attempt to access other people's accounts or agents
  • create accounts by bot, spam the waitlist, or automate signups in bulk
  • resell, sublicense, or offer the platform to third parties as your own service
  • circumvent limits, security measures, or plan boundaries
  • share a licence or a founders seat across households, or run one account as a service for others

2 · your library

The agent on your hardware is built for the management and archival of media you have a right to hold. You are responsible for the media you keep and for complying with copyright and all other law where you live. We cannot see your library and do not monitor it.

3 · what happens

We may suspend or close an account that breaks this policy, after notice where the law or common sense allows it, and without notice where the abuse is ongoing. Your files are on your own hardware either way: closing an account never touches them. Repeat copyright infringement costs you your account (see the terms, section 7).
